What areas does PLE service?
PLE primarily operates in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with experience across the Sunshine Coast, Northern NSW, and Toowoomba. Our active project pipeline currently spans the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Does PLE hold a Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence?
Yes. QLD Electrical Contractor Licence No. 78210, held by Trent Ridings (Managing Director).
What is the maximum project size PLE can handle?
PLE has delivered individual electrical subcontracts up to $8M and is currently active on a project at that value. We have delivered buildings up to 34 storeys with 259 apartments.
Can PLE take on Design & Construct responsibility?
Yes. PLE holds full D&C capability through our in-house drafting team. We issue Form 15 (design) and Form 12 (installation) certificates and provide as-built drawings and O&M documentation at handover.
What is a Form 12 and when is it required?
A Form 12 Electrical Safety Certificate certifies that an electrical installation complies with the Queensland Electrical Safety Act 2002 and AS/NZS 3000. It must be issued before the installation can be energised. PLE issues a Form 12 on every project.
What is a Form 15 and when is it required?
A Form 15 certifies the electrical design. It is required when the installation has been designed by the subcontractor (D&C projects). PLE issues Form 15 certificates on all D&C subcontracts.
Does PLE deliver EV charging infrastructure?
Yes. PLE designs and installs EV charging infrastructure for multi-residential buildings — dedicated EV DBs, bulk metering, load management, fire alarm shunt-trip integration, and EV-ready conduit. We have delivered EV infrastructure at Lagoon Apartments, Belvedere, and Upper House.
Can PLE deliver Dynalite DALI lighting control?
Yes. PLE is currently delivering a Dynalite DALI lighting control system at Sea Glass (27 storeys, Broadbeach). Our scope includes DALI addressing, scene management setup, occupancy sensor integration, and commissioning.
Does PLE deliver communications and building technology?
Yes. PLE installs structured cabling, MATV, IP CCTV (Dahua), IP intercom (Dahua/Intratone), and access control (Inner Ranger Concept Inception) as part of our electrical subcontract scope.
Does PLE do post-construction maintenance?
Yes. PLE offers maintenance agreements for body corporates and building managers — including AS2293 annual emergency lighting testing, RCD testing, and general electrical maintenance. We currently hold a maintenance agreement for Belvedere in Main Beach.
