EV Charging Infrastructure
PLE designs and installs EV charging infrastructure for apartment buildings and commercial carparks across SEQ — including Green Star Credit 17B3 compliance.
EV Charging for Multi-Residential Buildings
EV charging in an apartment tower is not simply a matter of running power outlets to carspaces. A properly engineered system requires dedicated infrastructure, load management, and fire safety integration — designed to support a high proportion of simultaneous chargers without oversizing the building's supply.
What PLE Delivers
- Dedicated EV distribution board (EV DB), separate from the main building board
- Bulk sub-metering for body corporate cost recovery
- Load management system — monitors real-time demand and limits charger output to protect supply capacity
- Wireless access points in carpark for charger network communication
- Fire alarm shunt-trip integration — disconnects EV circuits on fire alarm activation
- EV-ready conduit to each carspace for future charger installation
Green Star Credit 17B3
PLE delivered EV infrastructure to satisfy Green Star Credit 17B3 at Upper House — a 34-storey, 194-unit tower in South Brisbane for Minicon Builders and Aria Property Group. The scope included dedicated EV sub-main, sub-metering, load management provisions, and conduit distribution to carspaces, documented specifically to satisfy the credit requirements.
